Regional Sales Manager for a Leading HVAC Manufacturer
Reporting to senior leadership, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will drive the commercial success of assigned product lines across the Northeast. This role leads the execution of regional business strategies, manages account coverage, and ensures continued revenue growth through expert sales management and client engagement. The RSM will guide the sales team to meet goals, cultivate strategic relationships, and exceed market expectations. This role also requires strong experience in technical sales within the HVAC industry and a proven ability to build, support, and motivate a regional network of Manufacturer's Representatives and distributors. Key Responsibilities: Lead and grow a high-performing sales team focused on product knowledge, sales execution, and market expansion Drive revenue growth across all regional markets and customer segments Support team members in market planning, growth goal-setting, and territory staffing Optimize account prioritization, sales capacity, and representative effectiveness Develop and manage a strong rep and distribution network to support scalable regional growth Provide sales, technical, and strategic support to Manufacturer's Representatives to drive alignment and performance Launch and support strategic initiatives for quality improvement and growth acceleration Foster collaborative team culture by sharing best practices and uncovering new business opportunities Strengthen commercial and distributor partnerships to secure ongoing customer loyalty Lead regular team meetings with focus on activity levels, lead generation, quoting, and project pipeline Coach team members on performance goals and provide actionable feedback Ensure market penetration by supporting product positioning in key engineering communities Provide sales training, margin analytics, and contract support to achieve business line profitability Act as the main liaison for new product rollouts, enhancing client value and satisfaction Contribute to local marketing efforts, including events, trade shows, and association participation Support talent development through coaching, training, and professional growth opportunities Leverage CRM tools and software for sales reporting, forecasting, and performance improvement Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and CRM management Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field 5+ years of sales management experience in HVAC, mechanical equipment, or building systems Strong understanding of rep/distributor networks and engineered product sales Skilled in CRM tools, forecasting, and strategic territory planning Exceptional leadership, communication, and customer engagement skills Up to 50% travel required Compensation & Benefits
