Job Summary
The
VP of Capital Markets
will spearhead BaRupOn's engagement with private equity, institutional investors, infrastructure funds, and credit markets. This role is critical to shaping the company's capital raise strategy, identifying financing vehicles, and closing investment rounds across debt and equity channels. The ideal candidate brings deep relationships and a track record of securing capital for energy or infrastructure ventures.
Key Responsibilities Lead fundraising efforts for BaRupOn's major projects, with a focus on private capital, infrastructure funds, and alternative investment channels Develop pitch strategies and drive capital roadshows, virtual presentations, and one-on-one investor engagement Source, negotiate, and close equity and debt financing with PE firms, family offices, and structured credit partners Partner with CIO and legal team to develop and execute term sheets, SPV agreements, and capital stack structuring Monitor trends in energy transition finance, infrastructure funds, and global capital flows Build and maintain an investor CRM with engagement tracking and performance updates Work closely with the Director of Project Finance to align financial models with investor expectations Represent BaRupOn at industry events, finance summits, and institutional investor meetings Qualifications
10+ years of experience in capital markets, private equity, or infrastructure finance Proven success raising capital in the $100M+ range for energy or development projects Strong network across family offices, PE firms, infrastructure funds, and credit providers Deep understanding of structured finance, blended finance, and utility-scale infrastructure funding Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business; MBA or CFA preferred Excellent negotiation, deal-closing, and investor relationship management skills Familiarity with tax equity, PPA financing, and project-level debt structuring a plus Preferred Skills
Experience in energy transition sectors (solar, hydrogen, gas peaking, battery storage) Exposure to sovereign wealth fund and development finance institution (DFI) engagement Knowledge of U.S. tax credit monetization, IRA incentives, and DOE lending programs Benefits
