Position Overview

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a distinguished law firm in Georgia to find an experienced Legal Assistant to support the German Corporate Practice Group. This onsite role in Midtown requires a highly skilled individual who can provide a broad range of administrative and clerical support to partners, associates, and paralegals, ensuring efficient and effective operations within the practice group. SUMMARY

This position performs a broad range of administrative and clerical support for several partners, associates, and/or paralegals in the German Corporate Practice Group. Demonstrates the ability to partner with assigned lawyers and paralegals in the effective and efficient support of the practice group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates, transcribes, revises, and maintains legal documents and correspondence. Makes edits to documents, spreadsheets, and letters regularly. Screens telephone calls, serves as liaison between attorneys and others inside and outside the firm, providing professional and courteous customer service to all. Opens, stamps, and sorts mail, and notes dates for calendar. Retrieves files and documents. Enters attorney time into the time system. Handles administrative matters for attorneys/paralegals/supervisors and ensures compliance with firm procedures, including preparing conflict checks, receiving reports, initiating follow-up, opening files, reviewing, and revising client billing prepared by the accounting department, answering questions of accounting or other departments. Copies documents and/or coordinates office assistance with administrative and clerical functions. Files all materials and documents promptly, boxing and closing of files as needed. Maintains filing system, contact list, and calendar. Coordinates attorneys' schedules and makes travel arrangements. Prepares expense reports and completes other administrative forms. Schedules appointments and coordinates necessary resources such as conference rooms, with vendors, office services, and other departments. Prepares and assembles error-free final documents and ensures timely delivery of the same to all recipients via mail, overnight service, courier, etc. Assists with internal meetings and meetings with clients, guests, and others. Finds factual information on the Internet as directed. Provides assistance to others in the office whenever requested based on priorities of current work in-hand, promoting teamwork and mutual cooperation among all staff members. Other duties or special projects as requested or assigned. Skills Ability to type at least 70 wpm without error. High level of proficiency in MS Office and iManage. Knowledge of relevant legal terminology. Knowledge of the procedures for establishing and maintaining legal and other records and files. Ability to gain confidence and trust of attorneys and staff and work well with others. Strong grammar, excellent proofreading skills, and attention to detail. Requires strong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Professional demeanor and detail-oriented. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Three to five years of legal support experience, preferably in a law firm. Fluency in German (native or near-native proficiency strongly preferred). Strong proficiency in oral and written German with the ability to perform accurate dictation. Required Work Hours

Monday - Friday Benefits

Salary:

$75,000 - $90,000

Onsite role in Midtown.
