Onto Innovation strives to optimize customers' critical path of progress by making them smarter, faster and more efficient.Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesSupport various activities of the NPI process for product transition into manufacturing, including project managementTroubleshoot complex electrical subsystems and develop standard guides to help manufacturing with troubleshooting stepsDevelop, implement, and maintain operational methods and procedures in the manufacturing of sub-assemblies and systemsParticipate in continuous improvement efforts and 8D problem solving as neededSupport the internal and external quality process and corrective actionsReduce production labor and material cost while improving efficiency and utilizationUtilize the Engineering Change Order and Engineering Change Request systems for continuous improvements and EOL resolutions.Work with outside suppliers on outsourcing activitiesWork with manufacturing personnel to investigate and resolve manufacturing challenges in the cleanroom, documentation, and component problems as they ariseWilling and able to travel domestically and internationally, travel may vary, up to 15%QualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, other engineering disciplines will be consideredMinimum of 8 years of related experience Ability to understand and work with electrical schematics, electro-mechanical assembly drawings, interconnect diagrams and BOMsExperience in debugging mechanical and electrical problemsDemonstrated hands-on experience on working with and supporting manufacturingCapable of using lab equipment, oscilloscope, etc.Strong skills in CAD (preferably CREO) or other modeling softwareProven ability to collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams.Effective communication and presentations skills for interacting with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.Onto Innovation Inc. offers competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, including health/dental/vision/life/disability, PTO, 401K plan with employer match, and an Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) along with health & wellness initiatives.
