Senior Accountant
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team, with a primary focus on Operations Accounting. This individual will play a key role in daily and month-end activities, conducting general ledger account reconciliations, analyzing discrepancies, assisting with Financial Reporting Requests, reviewing monthly fluctuations, and preparing journal entries. An ideal candidate will possess accounting knowledge and/or have prior accounting experience, preferably with a bank or financial institution (but not required). Responsibilities
Execute various Operation Accounting daily/weekly tasks, including but not limited to general ledger and DDA reconciliation, reclass/accrual/lease entries or any other assigned tasks within the required time frame. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and reports prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. Participate in the month end close process, including but not limited to variance analysis, processing journal entries, reconciliation and certification of general ledger account and DDA balances. Provide assistance in the preparation of banking regulatory reports and fulfill financial reporting requests. Prepare and provide various support to internal and external auditors. Conduct ad-hoc analyses and contribute to special projects as required. Independently research and resolve discrepancies or out-of-balance conditions. Demonstrate due diligence and being able to initiate effective communication within the organization, with foreign branch (Hong Kong & China) and with external party. Ensure timely filing of annual property tax. Serve as a backup and provide assistance to team members as needed. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants, including reviewing their work and offering constructive feedback. Qualifications
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts. At least four to five years general ledger accounting. Banking or financial institution experience preferred. Knowledge of FIS or PeopleSoft a plus. Bachelor's degree (accounting or finance degree preferred). CPA license preferred. Strong analytical, technical, organizational, and problem solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well independently as well as in a team. Compensation
The base pay range for this position is USD $75,000.00/Yr. - USD $85,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
