The blockchain security engineer will work closely with on-chain business teams to assess the security of architectures involved in on-chain projects, implementing controls to manage risk through activities like threat modeling, code review, security testing, and posture assessment. You will collaborate with the product security team to improve our blockchain assessment models. We welcome candidates with limited blockchain experience but strong programming backgrounds in enterprise settings, eager to learn and review complex code artifacts. What Youll Do:
Perform security assessments for new and existing on-chain projects. Enhance the blockchain assessment model with guidance from security engineers. Research blockchain technologies used by the team. Conduct security-oriented code reviews, utilizing automated tools (SAST) for languages like Rust, Solidity, and Solana smart contracts. Implement reusable security controls across architectures. Apply security best practices, including encryption, access control, OWASP top 10, and network security. What Were Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. At least 6 years of experience in technology or IT/security roles. Minimum 3 years of programming experience in Python, Rust, Go, or similar. Strong knowledge of SDLC and secure software development. Experience with modern/microservices architectures. Knowledge of blockchain technology. Understanding of authentication, TLS, PKI, network, cloud, system, and application security. Recognized security cloud certifications. Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills. Bonus Points:
Experience with digital asset custody and security best practices. Familiarity with additional blockchains, layer2 strategies, and web3 ecosystems. What We Offer:
