Job Description Commercial Lines Associate Account Manager Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Commercial Lines Associate Account Manager
to support the management of commercial insurance accounts. In this role, you will work closely with the Account Manager team to provide excellent customer service, process insurance policies, handle renewals, and assist with claims. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow within the commercial lines insurance field. Key Responsibilities Client Account Management:
Assist in the management of a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, including property, liability, workers' compensation, and other commercial policies. Support Account Managers in reviewing, updating, and processing policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations. Provide responsive customer service to clients, answering inquiries and addressing concerns regarding policy changes, coverage limits, and claims processes. Help ensure client coverage is up-to-date and aligned with their evolving business needs. Assist in the preparation of insurance proposals and quotes for prospective clients and renewals. Claims Support
Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding claims, providing guidance and assisting in the claim reporting process. Work with claims adjusters to track claim statuses and ensure timely resolution. Assist clients in understanding their coverage and the claims process, including reviewing policy documents to determine claim eligibility. Administrative Support
Maintain accurate and detailed client records in the agency management system. Assist in preparing client presentations, policy summaries, and renewal packets. Ensure that all client communication, documents, and transactions comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Handle routine administrative tasks such as filing, mailing, and tracking documents to support the overall client management process. Team Collaboration
Collaborate with senior Account Managers, producers, and other team members to ensure client needs are met. Participate in team meetings to discuss client updates, challenges, and new business opportunities. Support team members with any additional tasks, ensuring timely completion of tasks and superior service delivery. Sales Support
Assist in the identification of cross-selling and upselling opportunities to existing clients. Provide support during the new business acquisition process, including gathering client information and preparing documentation. Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in commercial insurance or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with commercial lines insurance products (e.g., General Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation, Auto, etc.).
Licensing:
Active Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance License preferred or willingness to obtain.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate client files. Proficiency in using insurance management software (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360) and MS Office Suite. Ability to understand and explain complex insurance terms and policies.
