Shift Supervisor on a rotator shift

to join our State Control & Logistics department on a

Permanent Full-Time

basis. Youll be part of a highly skilled, committed and collaborative team that together provide crucial and highly valued services to the rest of the organisation. The Shift Supervisor will provide high quality people leadership for the State Control Centre team while ensuring excellent operational performance and day-to-day function activities are achieved. The

Shift Supervisor

will operate on a 224 operational roster made up of 2 Day shifts, 2 Night shifts and 4 days off, working

12-hour shifts

andwill be based in either Belmont or Wangara, with the requirement to travel as required.

What youll do: Provide guidance to team members to assist them in dealing/managing unfamiliar tasks. Ensure State Control Centre emergency call taking KPIs are achieved to the required standard. Ensuring compliance with professional standards are maintained. Monitor daily performance and take appropriate action when deficiencies are identified. Ensure the quality of emergency call taking is maintained to a compliant standard. Monitoring Monthly team performance and holding engagement sessions with team members. Be responsible for staff planning of team members and ensuring minimum staffing is maintained. Manage people related matters which may have some complexity that includes conduct, performance, fitness and grievances or ensure they escalate to line manager/People Services for advice. Provide ongoing training for team members to ensure they can perform their position. Ensure back up equipment is in a state of readiness and staff are familiar in its required use. As part of a surge capacity be able to answer and handle a triple zero call within the set parameters. What youll need: Previous experience working and leading teams in an Operations Centre. Background in corporate, health, community or operational sectors (preferred). Demonstrated people management and leadership experience. Complex problem solving and organisational skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Relevant qualification in Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS). Whats in it for you?
