12+ Years We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Solution Architect with deep expertise in AWS cloud services to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure IoT solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading end-to-end software architectures that integrate seamlessly with AWS platforms, mobile applications, and a variety of upstream and downstream systems. Experience in IoT solutions architecture is an added advantage. Key Responsibilities: Design and architect comprehensive, scalable, and secure software solutions for enterprise-level applications, with a strong focus on AWS cloud services and IoT. Lead the technical design and development of end-to-end architectures, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical best practices. Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural blueprints. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in the implementation of complex solutions. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance the architecture and improve system performance, security, and reliability. Ensure that all solutions are designed for high availability, disaster recovery, and cost-effectiveness. Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, including design documents, diagrams, and technology roadmaps. Lead technical discussions and present architectural solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 12+ years of professional experience in software development and architecture roles. Deep hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services, including but not limited to IoT Core, Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, API Gateway, and CloudFormation. Proven experience in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure software solutions. Strong understanding of architectural patterns, such as microservices, event-driven architecture, and serverless computing. Experience integrating systems with mobile applications and various upstream and downstream data sources. Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience with IoT solutions architecture and technologies. AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification. Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations, such as HIPAA or GDPR. This is an onsite position based in Carlsbad, California.
