Patient Service Associate - Duke Lake Norman Surgery and Breast Health
Summary:
Coordinate and participate in duties related to daily clinic preparation, patient check-in/out, charge posting, cash management, and appointment scheduling. Provide customer service, message distribution, ancillary scheduling, and referrals management. Work Performed: Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing upcoming patients and completing necessary preparations. Enter pre-visit orders, prepare new patient charts, and manage medical records and reports. Check-in patients, verify and update demographic data, and manage alerts in Maestro Care. Collect co-payments and balances due, and handle patient billing explanations. Schedule tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments. Answer calls, schedule appointments, and communicate medical information accurately and timely.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, basic PC and data entry skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow policies and maintain accurate records. Minimum Qualifications: High school education or equivalent. At least one year of experience in patient service or related activities, preferably in healthcare.
