QA Lead

Role: QA Lead Location: Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL - hybrid onsite (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY!) Key Responsibilities: Define and own the overall QA strategy, covering both manual and automated testing. Lead, mentor, and manage QA engineers across multiple projects. Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and establish test coverage. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks. Drive continuous improvements in QA processes, methodologies, and tools. Establish and track quality metrics to measure testing effectiveness. Ensure timely test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting. Partner with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. Advocate for quality standards and best practices across the SDLC. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 3+ years in a lead/managerial role. Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies and automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.). Hands-on experience with API testing, performance testing, and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr). Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution. Preferred Skills: Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of security and compliance testing.
