Overview
Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) is seeking a Systems Support Analyst (ISS4) in the Information Technology Section of the Operations Division. This hybrid, full-time role is based in Salem, OR and focuses on ensuring the operation and security of the agencys IT infrastructure, providing expert-level technical support, proactive network management, and strategic consulting. NI: This position is part of OHCS and reports to the Information Technology Manager. What you will do
The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical support to agency staff and includes network and system administration. Responsibilities include troubleshooting Microsoft Windows environments and all installed agency desktop software and LANs; designing, testing and implementing desktop PC software and hardware configurations; and administrative tasks such as managing staff network access and email accounts. The role provides technical advice to agency staff and management and is largely performed with a degree of independence and self-supervision. Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) years of information systems experience in providing technical support of a Microsoft Windows environment (including computer hardware, software, and networks); OR An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or a related field; AND one (1) year of information systems experience in providing technical support of a Microsoft Windows environment; OR A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field may substitute for all of the above. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail with strong customer-facing skills, professional demeanor, calm under pressure, ability to build positive relationships, and empathy for stakeholders. Clear and effective communication, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical individuals. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and work well in a small team environment with adaptability to changing conditions. Certifications in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or ITIL. Demonstrated awareness of race and social justice and the ability to positively influence equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
