The State of Colorado is seeking a dedicated Youth Services Supervisor to join the team at the Mount View Youth Services Center. This position is open only to Colorado state residents and offers a competitive salary of $5,637.00 monthly. The role is based in Denver, CO, and is full-time. brennon.watts@state.co.us . This job exists as a first-line formal supervisory position dedicated to overseeing or providing supervision for direct care Youth Services Specialists. The responsibilities include managing staff scheduling, overseeing admissions/releases, security/control functions, educational support services, daily programming, recreation, meals, medical referral and follow-up, and customer service. The supervisor is responsible for identifying and addressing subordinate staff performance concerns, modeling compliance with Division of Youth Services (DYS) policies, and integrating trauma responsiveness and other programmatic initiatives. The supervisor must display knowledge and skill in supervising staff providing direct care in a locked setting for pre-adjudicated and adjudicated youth. They must ensure the timeliness and quality of work activity by subordinates, supervise through directives, and apply the Reflective Supervision model. They must also oversee safety and security, conduct crisis intervention, and ensure adherence to DYS policies and procedures. The supervisor is responsible for programming, documentation, and quality control, ensuring accurate documentation of all daily facility operations, and attending mandatory training classes. Minimum qualifications include two years of full-time corrections-related experience or a high school diploma/GED, with college coursework in social or behavioral sciences substituting on a year-for-year basis. Preferred qualifications include experience in program and/or project development, training and facilitation, supervisory/management experience, and policy analysis. Lived experience in mental health, substance abuse, or systems involvement is valued but does not substitute for minimum qualifications. Conditions of employment include a full background check, valid U.S. driver's license, and no felony convictions or history of domestic violence.
