Senior Maintenance Engineer - St. James Place

Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer with education and experience to join the Engineering Team at St. James Place in Beaver Creek. The person in this role will be able to repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot systems, machines, tools, and equipment for the purpose of providing well-maintained building, grounds, irrigation, and utility systems of the properties in order to ensure a satisfactory guest experience as well as keep the Association buildings in good condition, and to provide leadership and training to engineering staff regarding specific engineering projects. If you are ready to take on a challenging role that provides opportunities for career development and growth within a world class organization, we want you on our team!Responsibilities include:Inspect and evaluate systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, AV, fire, restaurant, etc.) to ensure proper functioning and identify issues or potential improvementsPerform routine preventative maintenance and repairs in units, common areas, pools, and other property facilitiesTroubleshoot equipment failures using available resources to determine causes and recommend effective repair or replacement solutionsRespond promptly to work orders from guests, owners, and staff, ensuring timely resolutionMaintain organized, clean workspaces and storerooms; ensure tools and equipment are properly storedSupport and help implement preventative maintenance software; assist team in tracking and managing asset upkeepCommunicate effectively with internal departments and external contractors to coordinate maintenance activities and project updatesWhat's Hot: Nightly duty pay (when scheduled), career development opportunities and skilled training, garage parking on-site near a world-class ski resort, skiing, hiking, and bike breaks!Location: St James Place, Beaver CreekStart Date: ASAPEmployment Type: Full-Time, Year-RoundPay Rate: $30 - $35/hour depending on experienceSchedule: 5 days per week, including holidays and weekends with some flexibility on shift hoursPosting Closes: 9/25/2025 or when filledMinimum Requirements One of the following:A bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related field with hands-on experienceA certificate from a college or trade school in facilities maintenance or similar, plus 3-6 years of relevant experience and/or trainingActive status as a licensed or apprentice plumber or HVAC technicianStrong troubleshooting skills using available materials, tools, and independent researchSolid knowledge of engineering principles as applied to facility systems, including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbingAnalytical ability to evaluate building systems and identify issues, risks, and opportunities for improvementA self-motivated, proactive mindset with a strong ability to work independently and problem-solve effectivelyBenefits & Perks:We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth.
