Volt is immediately hiring for an Assistant Controller in the Food Manufacturing Industry in Riverside, CA. As an Assistant Controller, you will: Lead month-end close and financial reporting in NetSuite ERP Prepare and analyze financial statements, board decks, and variance reports Drive cost accounting functions including standard costing, overhead allocations, and variance analysis Manage inventory transactions, reconciliations, and cycle counts Collaborate with operations to improve inventory turnover, reduce waste, and enhance accuracy Utilize Redzone data and KPIs to identify operational efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities Oversee the fixed asset register, including capitalization and depreciation Partner with HR on labor cost analysis and payroll allocations Support budgeting and forecasting with detailed financial models Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements Contribute to strategic decisions through data-driven financial insights This is a full time, direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred) Accounting experience within Food Manufacturing is highly preferred, in lieu of, accounting experience within manufacturing needed. 10+ years of experience in accounting/finance, with deep expertise in cost accounting and financial close Experience in food manufacturing or similar industry Advanced proficiency in NetSuite ERP and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills Proven ability to drive process improvements and deliver actionable insights Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Benefits: Since this is a Direct Hire role, benefits will be provided by the employer.
