About the Role
The Company is seeking a new Dean and President to succeed Andrew McGowan, who has served with distinction. The ideal candidate will be a confident and creative leader, dedicated to nurturing and advancing the institution's mission of preparing ordained and lay leaders for the Church. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong administrative background, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to ensuring the School is welcoming to all. The successful candidate will also be responsible for advancing the School's mission as a seminary and its work in serving the Church through leadership programs. A key aspect of the role is fund-raising and donor cultivation, as well as a passion for pastoring students and ensuring an excellent program of ministerial formation.
Applicants for the Dean and President position at the company should be devoted and ordained members of the Church or a member Church of the Anglican Communion, with a deep understanding of the Church's polity, practices, and needs. The role demands a leader with a strong academic background, including an M.Div degree or equivalent, a PhD/doctorate, or a respected reputation as an intellectual leader. The ideal candidate will be rooted in prayer, seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, and possess high emotional intelligence and integrity. The Dean and President will be expected to be a strategic thinker, financially literate, and capable of nurturing a team of exceptional colleagues, all while being inspired by the mission and viewing the position as a calling to bear witness to Jesus Christ with moral courage for the future of the Church.
