About the Role
The Company is seeking a President to lead its seminary with a vision rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ and the values of the Episcopal Church. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the institution's spiritual, academic, operational, and fundraising efforts, ensuring that its mission is fulfilled and fostering a community devoted to inclusivity, justice, and spiritual renewal. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep personal faith, a commitment to the teachings of Jesus Christ, and a proven track record in leadership, vision implementation, and managing both academic and operational functions. The President will work closely with the Board, the VP of Institutional Advancement, and the Academic Dean to support the seminary's innovative curriculum, enhance its influence, and expand its outreach and partnerships.
Key responsibilities for the President include advancing a healthy, inclusive culture, supporting the needs of a diverse student body, and building a culture that reflects the institution's core values. The ideal candidate will have advanced theological education or significant experience in theological education, an understanding of hybrid and remote learning models, and a strong background in fundraising and relationship building. They will be expected to lead with a deep commitment to the gospel, engage in continuous learning, and ensure the financial sustainability of the seminary. The role also involves overseeing the preparation and management of the annual budget, fostering strong communication within the seminary community, and serving as the primary integrator of the institution's strategic goals into daily operations.
