About the Role The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President for Quality and Patient Safety to provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality and patient safety strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety, high reliability, and Zero Harm, and for ensuring that all quality and safety initiatives are in line with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing performance improvement and patient safety programs, as well as leading a team of professionals in these areas. The SVP will also be tasked with maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards, identifying and addressing sentinel events, and implementing evidence-based patient safety practices.
Candidates for this position must have a Bachelor's degree in nursing or a healthcare-related discipline, a Master's degree in a related field, and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification. A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in healthcare leadership with a focus on quality management, patient safety, and regulatory compliance is required. The role demands a leader with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders, and a strong background in performance improvement data analysis. The SVP will also be expected to have a current State of Maryland license as a Registered Nurse or other licensed clinician and to be well-versed in Joint Commission standards.
