President / Chief Executive Officer (CEO) About the Company Impact-led organization supporting local state museums Industry Museums and Institutions Type Non Profit Founded 1962 Employees 11-50 About the Role The Company is seeking a President/CEO to lead its Foundation, which plays a pivotal role in supporting the cultural and educational initiatives of the Museum of New Mexico system. The successful candidate will be a transformational leader with a visionary approach, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in securing major gifts and leading capital campaigns. This role requires a deep respect for cultural heritage and experience in working with diverse communities, including Indigenous, Hispanic, and rural populations. The President/CEO will be responsible for strategic leadership, development and execution of fundraising plans, and ensuring the Foundation's financial and operational sustainability. They will also engage with the Board of Trustees, staff, and external stakeholders to advance the mission and objectives outlined in the Foundation's strategic plan.

Candidates for the President/CEO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years of leadership experience in nonprofit administration, with a strong focus on fundraising and financial management. The role demands a leader with a deep understanding of nonprofit finance, a commitment to data-informed decision-making, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and staff development. Experience in public-private partnerships and advocacy, particularly with state governments, is essential. The ideal candidate will be a strategic risk-taker, capable of driving innovation and maximizing the Foundation's impact. They must also be adept at managing a diverse team, providing mentorship, and ensuring transparency and professionalism in all aspects of the organization's operations.
