Mechanical Design Engineer Raymond, OH We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of mechanical and electromechanical products from concept to production. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of each component, ensuring high-quality standards through rigorous analysis, prototyping, testing, and collaboration with manufacturing partners. This role is pivotal in delivering innovative and reliable solutions for the aftermarket automotive industry. ________________________________________ Skill Requirements Mechanical Design Expertise: 6+ years of experience in mechanical and electromechanical product design and development. Proven track record in the aftermarket automotive industry. CAD & Drafting Proficiency: 5+ years of experience with 3D CAD modeling tools: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor. 3+ years of experience in GD&T drafting techniques. Prototyping & Reverse Engineering: Hands-on experience with reverse engineering, 3D printing, and prototyping. Manufacturing Collaboration: 3+ years of experience working with manufacturers and vendors to enhance product quality, performance, and production schedules. Support vendor development to expand manufacturing capabilities and geographical reach. Quality & Reliability: Conduct defect analysis, validation activities, and maintain QA documentation. Implement inspection and testing procedures to ensure product reliability. Project & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget constraints. Strong multitasking and time management skills. Cost & Material Analysis: Perform statistical analysis to assess product and material costs. Research and review external components and materials for compliance and compatibility. ________________________________________ Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Experience in vendor qualification and supplier management is a plus.
