Telecom Development Lead / Architect

Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and architecture of IT systems that support wireless plan configurations, discount bundling, eligibility logic, and pricing strategies. Define end-to-end solutions across order capture, product catalog, billing integration, CRM, and self-care portals. Collaborate with product, marketing, and digital teams to translate complex telecom offerings into IT capabilities. Architect and oversee development of systems that support real-time offer eligibility checks, plan upgrades, bundled service activations, and retention discounts. Integrate with systems like product catalog (PCM), CPQ engines, order management (OM), billing (BSS), and customer care (CRM). Guide development teams in implementing scalable microservices, APIs, and workflow engines to support plan lifecycle and campaign logic. Ensure system designs support regulatory compliance, localization, and offer versioning. Define data models, caching strategies, and integration patterns to ensure performance and scalability. Provide architectural governance, code reviews, and technical leadership to development teams. Keep up to date with telecom trends (5G monetization, converged bundles, digital-first experiences) and apply them to system design. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 8+ years of experience in telecom IT systems, with at least 3 years in an architecture or technical lead role. Strong knowledge of consumer telecom product lifecycle, including plan creation, promotions, eligibility, and deactivation flows. Deep understanding of telecom BSS/OSS systems: Product Catalog (e.g., TMF SID), Order Management, Billing, CRM, and Digital Channels. Experience with modern architecture principles: microservices, event-driven design, API-first architecture, and DevOps. Hands-on experience with technologies like Java/Spring, Node.js, REST APIs, Kafka, and container platforms. Familiarity with CPQ tools, business rule engines, and campaign/loyalty systems is a plus. Proven ability to translate business needs into system architecture and lead cross-functional delivery teams.
