Qualifications Required:

Good driving record Must be able to pass physical, drug tests & criminal history check The ability to pass the commercial driving test once trained Enjoy working with children Job Description:

Shall exhibit safe driving habits at all times and operate the bus with safety of the passengers as the primary concern. Shall conduct routine safety inspection of the bus before each run. Shall check fluid and oil levels as required and fuel the bus as necessary. Shall report all mechanical problems to the mechanic. Shall maintain a clean and safe environment within the bus. Shall endeavor to maintain a dependable route schedule. Shall report all accidents to the Transportation Supervisor and cooperate with the investigation of such accidents. Shall be responsible for the discipline of students on the bus, and shall cooperate with building administrators and the Transportation Supervisor in resolving discipline problems. Shall promote positive public relations with students, parents and other school personnel. Shall maintain confidentiality for all school-related information. Shall perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor. Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This position requires long periods of sitting. The position requires occasional lifting. Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, with travel to other schools or field trip locations. Work Year:

Beginning with the 2025-2026 School Year

Schedule:

Monday through Friday when school is in session. Guaranteed Minimum of 25 hours weekly/5 hours daily. Wage for 2025-2026:

$18.57, if hired as a CDL trainee (will be compensated $1.00 less than Step 1 rate ($19.57), until the CDL is obtained Paid training at $18.57 an hour

$19.57, upon hire with possession of a CDL $20.60, newly hired or rehired employees that possess 3+ years of applicable and related experience upon hire at the discretion of management
