Summary
Dainese USA, Inc., located in Costa Mesa, CA is looking for a “Sales Representative” to join our team. As Sales Representative, within the assigned territory, you will be responsible for managing our relationship with existing accounts, developing new accounts, as well as assisting with key account and other sales-related activities. The ideal candidate is a hard-working, passionate person with excellent communications skills, highly organized along with being able and willing to travel. Motorcycle riding/apparel experience and previous job in the industry is very desirable.
Duties and Responsibilities
- ORDERS AND SALES MANAGEMENT FOR DAINESE, AGV and TCX PRODUCTS
- Promote, collect and enter Prebook Orders always taking into consideration the customers’ sell-out and the product rotation for the best profitability of both the customer and Dainese.
- Promote and manage customers’ re-stocking orders during the sales season.
- Manage customer’s orders with accuracy: before accepting orders verify the customer’s solvency with all the available means and inform the company on a timely manner of any variations that may compromise receivables.
- Stick to sales programs decided by Dainese and enforce MAP Policy and suggested prices with the customers.
- Meet and exceed the Sales Targets assigned to your Area.
Customers and Market Management
- Seek out new account opportunities – new accounts and improvement in current accounts (replenishment, shop in shop, merchandising).
- Execute and monitor overall strategies and performance of all accounts – account sophistication, vendor agreements, inventory levels, sell through data and sales performance.
- Train and educate accounts with clinics and trainings.
- Identify account needs and business opportunities, product, marketing, contests, sales support. Improve overall business relationship through constant interaction/feedback.
- Organize and attend Industry Tradeshows.
- Organize and attend Dealer Showcases and Account’s Open Houses and other key events.
- Visit, train and support the Cycle Gear Stores in your designated Area.
- Visit, train and support the accounts and stores in your designated Area promoting DAINese, AGV and TCX brands and their product’s image.
- Generate and maintain weekly reports and constantly interact with the management.
- Ensure continuous telephone and e-mail availability for the purpose of optimizing the communication service provided to customers.
- Select new customers on the basis of the criteria established with the company.
- Co-manage with the Warranty Dept. client warranty claims following up and following through.
- Ensure that the outlets (online especially) have always updated pictures and images in line with Corporate communication.
- Check and control “Promotional” and “Season’s End” sales set up by customers.
- Contribute to the management of any customer’s outstanding debts.
- Provide accurate and timely notice of facts, events, and critical situations regarding single customers.
- Check and enforce the respect of any contractual conditions agreed with customers.
- Make sure that the customers constantly dedicate the exclusive display area reserved and agreed.
- Make sure that the customers do not sell any competing product not expressly specified in the possible affiliate’s contract.
- Keep a constant check on the sales prices applied by competitors and provide notification of any related upsetting factors in the market.
- Evaluate brand performance and collect market share information.
- Provide all the information regarding the market (trends and new opportunities), the competitors (by indicating any innovative products and new operational methods adopted by the same), and an analysis of the positioning of products.
Requirements
- Proven account management or other relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity.
- General understanding of the E-commerce business, measurement and analytics, content management and internet technology.
- Microsoft Office Suite, CRM Background.
- Travel approximately 70% of the time.
- Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of Account Management and Sales experience
- Motorcycle or Action Sports Industry experience a plus
- Interest in Motorcycles a plus
