Role Responsibility

As the Switchboard/Receptionist – Communications, you will:

• Handle incoming calls and pages with efficiency and courtesy.
• Serve as the public face of our medical center, promoting a positive image with patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
• Adapt quickly in emergency situations with resourcefulness and composure.
• Assist with secretarial duties, including mail distribution and other assigned tasks to support smooth operations.

About The Communications Department

The Communications Department ensures professional and caring handling of calls, questions, and requests, directing people to the right departments and supporting hospital operations. The team remains calm, flexible, and patient in a dynamic environment, providing solutions and contributing to a welcoming experience as the first point of care contact at CRMC.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Required

• Ability to operate all equipment for this position
• Successful completion of data entry and general clerical standards
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred

• Previous secretarial experience
