The Marketing Events Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and execution of events that support company marketing and business objectives. This role manages all aspects of event marketing—including strategy, logistics, vendor management, cross-functional collaboration, and performance reporting—to deliver high-quality experiences that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth.

The Role

This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office) and is located in Austin, Texas. Depending on the month/season travel may be up to 50%.

About The Team

The Events team is responsible for executing high-impact events that drive engagement, conversion, and pipeline growth for Auctane. This includes hosting our annual user conference, managing trade shows, executing owned events, and supporting webinars. The team works cross-functionally with sales, product, and the broader marketing organization to ensure events deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Strategy & Planning – Develop and maintain the annual event calendar in alignment with marketing and sales priorities; identify, evaluate, and recommend participation in key trade shows, conferences, and sponsorships; define event objectives, success metrics, and expected outcomes.
  • Event Execution & Management – Lead planning and execution of all company-hosted and third-party events, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, roadshows, and customer programs; manage event logistics, including venue selection, contract negotiations, vendor coordination, booth design, collateral production, and on-site support; ensure brand consistency across all event materials and experiences.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with marketing teams to integrate events into broader campaigns; collaborate with sales to drive event attendance, customer engagement, and follow-up activities; coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and contractors as needed.
  • Budget Management & Reporting – Manage event budgets, track performance against defined KPIs (attendance, leads, pipeline impact, customer feedback); provide post-event reporting, analysis, and recommendations to inform future event strategy.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in event marketing or event management.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute multiple events simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with event management, marketing automation, and CRM tools (e.g., SWOOGO, HubSpot, Salesforce, Jira).
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time depending on month/season.
