Delta Dental of Kentucky is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support HR operations through administrative tasks, employee communication, and process coordination to ensure smooth HR workflows and uphold confidentiality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance in functional areas of human resources including benefits, recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, training, HRIS, payroll, and special projects.
- Coordinate benefit administration, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Reconcile benefits statements for payment, schedule distribution of annual employee notices, and ensure accurate record-keeping and proper benefit deductions in coordination with payroll.
- Maintain confidential employee data and accurate records in the HRIS and related systems in compliance with applicable legal requirements; respond to verification requests; assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Handle confidential information, respond to employee requests and questions, and explain policies and procedures, as necessary.
- Assist with FMLA/Leave of Absence administration and communication.
- Participate in the development and dissemination of employee communications. Research, compile, and maintain data for the preparation of departmental communications, documents, and reports.
- Manage human resources content posted on the internal intranet to ensure effective employee communication and fulfill compliance requirements.
- Coordinate activities such as meetings, luncheons, employee events, and employee recognition programs.
- Support HR programs and procedures and periodically assist with related special projects in legal, compliance, and finance.
- Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the primary job responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Position requires an associate’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field and two years of human resources administrative experience. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and be detail oriented. The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in HRIS systems preferred; ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and priorities and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization; skill in handling sensitive information with confidentiality; ability to use independent judgment to approach challenges and find solutions.
