Production Associate – Level I (Disassembly/Cleaning and Inspection) Pay Rate: $23.50/hour Location: Commerce City CO Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Job Summary The Production Associate will operate machines and production equipment in accordance with safety, quality, and productivity standards. This role focuses on assisting with the teardown of high-horsepower diesel engines. Employees rotate through disassembly, cleaning of components, and inspection of parts to prepare them for the next stage of production. Top Skills Ability to learn and adapt to new skills Mechanical competency / mechanically inclined Strong attention to detail Experience with engines Hand tool knowledge Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Stop work and report any major injury hazards immediately. Report work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards. Comply with all HSE standards, policies, and regulations. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Promote a safe and collaborative work culture. Correct hazards within scope of responsibility. Minimize environmental impact through safe practices. Participate in required HSE training. Quality Follow standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures (e.g., SPC, poka-yoke, visual standards). Raise issues to reduce cost and quality risks. Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials. Production Work at required cycle times or engineering standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine housekeeping and equipment care. Perform planned operator maintenance tasks. Stay flexible and complete additional duties as needed to meet production goals. Collaborate with peers, trades, and support staff to maintain and repair equipment. Teamwork Communicate effectively with team members and support staff. Complete required training and personal development. Actively participate in process, safety, and quality improvements.
