The Production Unit Manager will oversee and coordinate activities within their assigned production unit(s) in an efficient manner to achieve the optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes in accordance with product specifications, Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) and quality standards. The individual ensures that company policies and guidelines are accurately interpreted and implemented. Monitors process, quality and quantity of production to meet daily/weekly and monthly targets. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Ensure production goals are met within the assigned production unit(s) to meet unit goals and deadlines. Manage daily production unit meetings (Problem Solving Management). Ensure that HSE, quality, and production problems are resolved during production unit meetings and address results vs. KPIs with cross-functional departments. Direct and manage Production Group Supervisors and other department employees; provide necessary tools, knowledge, and support to ensure success. Develop a vision, strategy, and key objectives aligned with the Company’s goals and lead execution against these objectives. Ensure assignments and tasks affecting quality and established objectives are completed on time; communicate when blocked. Provide insightful leadership that generally creates positive morale. Assign machines and manpower to meet production schedules and ensure on-time delivery to customers. Manage manufacturing of products to meet deadlines and production goals. Manage production to meet monthly budgets. Organize process data using tools such as 8D, 5S, Kaizen, Lean, Six-Sigma (DMAIC), VSM, and SPC to reduce variation and improve quality and throughput. Be responsible for preventive maintenance and machine uptime. Devise Departmental Action Plans supporting achievement of long-term goals. Assign and schedule work to production employees, including supervisors and manufacturing engineering. Observe equipment usage and employee quality of work and take corrective action when necessary. Monitor tools, materials, quality and production; drive corrective actions and ensure full problem-solving cycles. Maintain high standards of performance, quality, and customer service for the production unit. Implement and maintain company policies and guidelines as prescribed by management. Implement and maintain training for job-related functions. Recruit, hire, train, motivate, supervise and discipline personnel under direct supervision. Conduct personnel functions including coaching for performance, identifying high-potential employees, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and compensation recommendations within company guidelines. Ensure compliance with federal, local, and state regulations and LISI Aerospace policies, procedures, and plans. All employees must attend training and adhere to HSE procedures, report nonconformances, and follow safe operating procedures; implement safety program within the factory. Identify and address nonconformances; continually seek opportunities to improve HSE performance by setting objectives, measuring progress, and reporting results. Other duties may be assigned. General Management

Make decisions in the best interest of the Company, stockholders, and employees. Ensure timely and complete responses to internal and external customers; take corrective actions as needed. Lead employees within Company rules to maintain a positive, accountable, productive environment. Conduct business with high ethical standards and avoid conflicts of interest. Manages Manufacturing Supervisors and other directly assigned staff. Conducts interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions as needed. Essential Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Mechanical Engineering preferred) with a minimum of 7 years of management experience in manufacturing or equivalent. Proven ability to lead effectively in a diverse environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Certification/experience in 8D, 5S, Kaizen, Lean, Six-Sigma (DMAIC), VSM, and SPC. Knowledge of manufacturing methods, operation management, process improvement, and industrialization. Experience managing projects and action plans. Skills And Abilities Computer Skills: advanced knowledge of database software, internet software, and Microsoft Office. Language Skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical material; ability to write reports and present information. Mathematical Skills: familiarity with statistics, geometry, and trigonometry; ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. Reasoning Ability: problem definition, data collection, and drawing valid conclusions. Certificates, licenses, registrations Evidence of “US person” is required under ITAR. Physical Demands, Work Environment, Health And Safety

The physical demands and work environment reflect the essential functions of the job; reasonable accommodations may be provided. The role typically involves a loud manufacturing environment with standard safety PPE requirements. The position includes safety and environmental compliance responsibilities and the authority to stop production if hazards are present. HSE responsibilities include ensuring compliance, updating procedures, maintaining skills, equipment safety, risk management, emergency readiness, and HSE communication. Benefits
