American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position with day shifts and on-call responsibilities.Job Details•Position is in a hospital Operating Room (OR) setting,•General OR cases with responsibilities supporting the surgical team,•Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, four days per week, with one day off to be determined,•On-call required for 4-5 shifts per 4-week period,•Uses Epic charting system; Epic experience required,•Level 1 Trauma OR environment,Job Requirements•Active Illinois state RN license or temporary license in good standing,•Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred,•Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association,•Minimum one year of relevant OR nursing experience required; three years preferred,•Experience in Level 1 trauma required,•Documented Epic charting experience required,•Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted,Additional Information•Prepare and organize the OR suite with appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications,•Conduct pre-op interviews and confirm patient identification,•Transport patients safely to and from the OR and ensure safety procedures are followed,•Support the surgical team during procedures, including providing supplies and responding to requests,•Complete post-op patient handoff to PACU or receiving nurse,•Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care,•Compliance deadline for onboarding requirements is the Monday prior to start date,•Drug screen and background check required; candidates must report to lab within 24 hours of commitment,•RTO (requested time off) not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract,•Assignment duration is limited to one calendar year, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning,•No travel partners accepted for this assignment,•Holiday coverage may be required as per departmental needs,),•hash,:• ,
