Job Details - Labor & Delivery RN Travel Assignment Location: Santa Rosa, CA 95405 (Sonoma County - Northern California nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital - LDRP Unit Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 - December 22, 2025) Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30); 4x12 available upon request Weekly Hours: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2310-$2480 Patient Ratio: 1:3 Orientation: 36 hours Charting System: Epic Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period Scrub Color: Royal Blue or Navy Blue (provided for L&D nurses) Qualifications - Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery and post-partum RN experience (required) Active California Registered Nurse license Previous travel nursing experience required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred) Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system Strong precepting and clinical support skills preferred Ability to float between similar units and affiliate hospitals as needed Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) References: Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment in comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years Local candidates not accepted (must reside outside a 50-mile radius) Key Responsibilities - L&D Travel Nurse Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and post-partum patients in a 10-bed LDRP unit Perform triage of obstetrical patients and conduct sterile vaginal exams Circulate for C-sections and assist with high-risk antepartum cases Administer medications including anticoagulants, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC) and manage intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement and calibration Implement isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float to sister facilities as required Be part of a dedicated nursing team in a state-of-the-art acute care hospital, serving a diverse patient population with an average of 200-300 births per month.
