Travel Nursing Job Details Employment Type: Travel Nursing - Labor & Delivery RN Location: Midland, TX 79701 (West Texas nursing jobs) Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D), Unit 6194 Start Date: September 22, 2025 End Date: January 12, 2026 (minimum 13-week contract) Shift: Day, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2250 Patient Ratio: 2:1 Orientation: 36 hours Holiday Coverage: Must work one holiday (eve and day) Charting System: Cerner (Cerner experience preferred) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas RN jobs; pending license accepted with submission, must be active before start) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience Previous charge nurse experience required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, NIHSS, AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced, FHM Ability to float to Antepartum as needed Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed) On-site drug screening required Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, and transition (no postpartum) Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and vaginal births Provide breastfeeding and lactation support Administer medications and manage IVs, including magnesium sulfate and insulin drips Perform sterile vaginal exams, APGAR scoring, and newborn identification Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using EFM and IUPC Support pain management and patient education Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care Discover Midland, Texas-a city celebrated for its friendly community, thriving arts scene, and access to outdoor recreation.
