Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring advanced certifications and high-risk pregnancy monitoring.Job Details•Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit with 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms,•Patients include high-risk pregnancies and those requiring C-sections and vaginal deliveries,•Potential to float to postpartum unit as needed and provide postpartum couplet care (newborn and maternal),•Every other weekend shifts required,•Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00),•No on-call responsibilities,•Uses Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience required or preferred,Job Requirements•Active CA RN license must be in hand at time of submission,•Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required,•Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BCLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Advanced, FHM,•LA Fire Card required within the last 30 days,•Two supervisory references from the last 3 years covering at least 1 year of employment in the specialty required for consideration,•First-time travelers not accepted,Additional Information•Primary responsibilities include fetal heart monitoring, high-risk pregnancy care, attending deliveries, and supporting C-sections,•Postpartum and newborn couplet care may be required if perinatal staffing is low,•All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed,•Must commit to working at least 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day),•Navy blue scrubs required; scrubs provided for L&D/OR settings,•RTO must be included at submission; extensive time off may impact contracting process,•Return travelers must wait at least 3 months after previous employment before reapplying,•Local candidates within 50 miles considered at a lower rate,),•hash,:• ,
