Serves as resource for Patient Relations and responds timely to issues to mitigate complaints quickly.Provides financial management of Pharmacy services: Prepares annual capital equipment, personnel, and expense budget for department. Reports budget variances monthly. Maintains department productivity system. Monitors productivity system for variances. Provides direction to clinical staff regarding cost effective use of drugs and protocol development. Evaluates current and new programs for cost effectiveness and quality value.Provides leadership and direction to all pharmacy services. Has responsibility for overall supervision of hospital pharmacy services. Plans, evaluates, and implements programs and devices which are in accordance with the overall patient care program of the hospital. Writes and revises policies and procedures as needed. Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, promoting and terminating pharmacy personnel. Assures compliance with regulatory agencies such as State Boards of Pharmacy, NRC, DEA, ACHC, and Joint Commission.
