Responsibilities:
Collaborates with System Pharmacy leadership on planning, organizing, and directing pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance
Provides leadership and direction for all pharmacy services in the region
Oversees the overall administration of pharmacy services in the region
Participates in hospital committees and quality improvement teams
Communicates appropriately with hospital staff and physicians
Delegates authority and responsibility to personnel
Implements, interprets, and enforces policies and procedures to ensure patient safety
Monitors and evaluates performance improvement and CQI activities
Oversees staff education focused on patient safety and organizational performance
Interacts professionally with patients and families, serving as a resource for Patient Relations and responding promptly to issues to mitigate complaints
Manages the pharmacy departments finances: prepares annual budgets, reports variances, maintains productivity systems, and evaluates cost-effectiveness of programs
Provides leadership and supervision of hospital pharmacy services, including policy development, recruitment, and compliance with regulatory agencies
Qualifications
Education
Required:
Doctorate or higher in pharmacy or related field. Experience
