Maintenance Electrician
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our healthcare facilities. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure, ensuring that our facilities continue to function at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely and effective manner
- Maintain and update electrical documentation, including schematics, drawings, and work orders
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to coordinate and prioritize tasks
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices
Qualifications:
- Required: 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician or in a similar role
- Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent training
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Preferred: Experience working in a healthcare or medical facility setting
- Certification as a Journeyman Electrician
- Knowledge of HVAC and building automation systems
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a healthcare facility environment, which may involve exposure to various medical equipment, chemicals, and potential hazards. The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday, with the possibility of occasional on-call or overtime requirements. Some physical demands may include standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits:
This Maintenance Electrician position offers a competitive hourly rate of $28 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
