Title: Business Systems Analyst

Location: Detroit, MI / Lewisville, TX / Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid) – position may travel up to 25% of the time

Note: This is a W2 contract role – this role is NOT open to 1099, C2C, or 3rd party candidates

The Business Systems Analyst will be considered a strong analytical/procedural individual focusing on strategy, rules, and configuration to drive the business forward. Acting as a key participant in story refinement, configuration design, and configuration execution, this role will partner with leadership, business experts, and partners to drive solutions and improvements to complex business problems. Ideal candidates for this role must have a quality outcome mindset and the ability to actively assist the quality assurance team in ensuring configurations meet business needs and minimize risks. This position will work closely with a key leaders and a broad group of matrix partners, including business operations, IT, Risk, Finance/Pricing, Analytical Modeling, and Product Management to implement business solutions. We are looking for a dynamic person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is comfortable operating as a team lead, independent contributor, and influencer. This candidate should bring a passion for problem solving, a strong logistical mindset, and an intense sense of TEAM to the exciting and challenging world of auto finance.

Position Responsibilities:

• Understand complex business challenges to help build business intelligent solutions for core functional areas
• Demonstrate strong subject matter knowledge in both business outcomes and platform capabilities
• Partner with matrix teams to drive discovery and delivery of business focused solutions
• Act as key thought leader in supporting efficient tactical delivery
• Understand, lead, and configure concepts and best practices across an Agile driven delivery lifecycle
• Document conceptual designs and flows to support business outcomes
• Work with ambiguous and complex requirements and help refine them into distinct tactical goals
• Drive the evolutionary progress of finance platforms
• Show proactiveness in all facets of work and duties
• Take direction well and align work to the overarching stated goals of the initiative
• See around corners and provide guidance to leadership of any upcoming obstacles / decisions required
• Stay current with industry trends and apply learnings to drive platform innovations
• Present complex concepts, design, and directions in an intuitive format and concise manner
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills

Position Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience in financial services or related industry, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, value streams, and global partners while facilitating project teams in Agile environments
• Experience reading and querying SQL, Oracle, and SMSS
• Experience with Groovy scripting
• Proven ability to deliver results in a highly complex matrix environment, including external vendors
• Strong skill with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with OutSystems or low-coding preferred
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or other relevant field preferred; Project Management/Business Analyst Certification highly preferred
