Industrial Cleaning/Housekeeping Associate

$19/hour | First Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
⚠️ Weekends optional for make-up hours (highly preferred)

Overview

We are seeking a reliable Industrial Cleaning/Housekeeping Associate to support critical cleaning and housekeeping functions across production, lab, warehouse, and common areas. This role is best suited for candidates with industrial housekeeping experience who can follow strict procedures, work safely with PPE, and are comfortable handling industrial cleaning chemicals.

This position offers strong potential for growth, with opportunities to be promoted or moved into other industrial areas within the organization.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping duties in production rooms, labs, and common areas.
• Safely use and handle industrial cleaning chemicals (glass cleaner, bleach, etc.).
• Collect and dispose of trash, autoclave waste, and recyclables.
• Clean and sanitize washrooms, office furniture, walls, partitions, ceilings, and windows.
• Vacuum, shampoo, mop, scrub, and refinish various floor types (carpet, resilient flooring, concrete).
• Clean light fixtures and replace bulbs (using ladders up to 6 ft).
• Maintain high cleanliness standards in sensitive environments such as cleanrooms, bio-suites, and containment areas.

Must-Have Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Comfort with PPE (steel toe shoes, hard hat, ear protection, safety glasses, masks).
• Comfortable working around chemicals.
• ✅ Ability to follow procedures consistently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Highly Preferred: Experience in an aseptic environment (cleanroom).
• Experience in an industrial or laboratory setting.
• Industrial housekeeping/cleaning background.
• Flexibility to work weekends if needed.
• Open to candidates from other industries (e.g., food service, fast food) if they can follow procedures.
