Day (Monday- Friday 6a-4:45p + Saturday 6a-12p)

Character of Position

As an

Aerospace QA Lead , you will be responsible for reviewing part production and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform and approve final buyoff inspections of parts, ensuring conformity to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer contracts.

Validate that certifications and traceability records are complete and accurate.

Collaborate with inspectors performing detailed dimensional and visual inspections of critical parts.

Document First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and customer-specific requirements.

Ensure proper documentation and release of Certificates of Conformance (C of C) for parts.

Serve as the primary interface with customers' quality personnel during source inspections, audits, and buyoffs.

Investigate, document, and control nonconformances (NCRs), supporting root cause and corrective action processes to prevent recurrence.

Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality requirements for parts.

Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure parts meet all quality standards.

Assess customer contractual requirements as they relate to final QA deliverables.

Maintain E-filing system of quality documents.

Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills

Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workloads.

Strong knowledge of inspection methods and equipment (CMM, laser tracker, hand tools, etc.).

Knowledge of traceability requirements, material certification, and configuration management for parts.

Excellent decision-making and communication skills with the ability to represent Quality in customer-facing situations.

Ability to utilize CAD viewing software (Enovia or equivalent).

Experience

Inspection, buyoff authority, and certification of aerospace parts, preferred.

Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and critical specifications.

Hands-on experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA, and DoD quality requirements.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
