Overview
The HRIS Admin is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s People Technology (Human Resources Information System - HRIS). This role serves as the primary point of contact for People system support, reporting, and data integrity. The position partners closely with team members in the People team, Payroll, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate team member data management, process efficiency, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The role requires the ability to work and communicate remotely, as the team operates remotely. Responsibilities
What you will be responsible for (Essential Functions): Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot the People Technology System, ensuring data accuracy, system functionality, and security. Serve as the first point of contact for People Technology System questions and provide user support to People team members, People leaders, and team members. Maintain team member records, organizational structures, workflows, and system configurations in alignment with the People Team and business needs. Generate, analyze, and distribute standard and ad-hoc People reports, dashboards, and metrics for decision-making. Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate data transfers and seamless processing. Assist in the implementation, testing, and rollout of new People System modules, upgrades, or enhancements. Maintain system documentation, process guides, and training materials; conduct training sessions for end-users as needed. Monitor and ensure compliance with data privacy, security protocols, and People regulations. Identify opportunities for process automation and system improvements to enhance People process efficiency. Manage permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HR services users. Manage custom functions and documentation such as queries, filters, macros, and reports. Assist with acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs requested by executives and HR staff. Serve as lead representative and liaison between the People Team, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS, people technology data and implementation projects. Compliance, SOC, & HITRUST Reporting
Act as HRIS point of contact during SOC 1 / SOC 2 audits, ensuring HR system controls are documented and operating effectively. Partner with IT Security and Compliance teams to collect HRIS evidence for SOC audits (access logs, change management records, system configuration reports, user provisioning and termination reports, etc.). Maintain HRIS controls required under HITRUST certification, including data privacy, access management, encryption, and retention policies. Generate and submit periodic reports to demonstrate compliance with HITRUST and other regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, etc., if applicable). Ensure HRIS processes align with internal policies, external regulations, and best practices for information security. What are we Looking For

Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions to issues that arise. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. What You Need to Succeed (Required Education and Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2–4 years of HRIS administration or related HR systems experience preferred. Strong understanding of HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll, performance management). Preferred systems experience: Advanced administration knowledge with ADP Workforce Now (HCM and Payroll); Greenhouse (ATS); bswift (Benefits Administration) and Culture Amp (Performance Management/Survey) a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Minimum of 2 years' experience working as HR system administrator. Core Competencies
