The Department of Psychology at Hofstra University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning September 1, 2026. We welcome applications from candidates engaged in high-quality research in Clinical Psychology, including but not limited to psychopathology, psychotherapy, and assessment. We are particularly interested in scholars whose research and clinical interests will complement existing faculty expertise and deepen course offerings within the Psychology Department. Responsibilities

Establish an independent research program, engage in research training and clinical supervision of doctoral students, and teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels (18 credits per academic year). Contribute to the APA-accredited PhD program in Clinical Psychology and participate in departmental, college, and university activities. Potential future administrative roles may include positions such as Director of Clinical Training (DCT) or Director of externship or internship placement. Collaborate with on- and off-campus resources (e.g., neurophysiology lab and behavioral research facilities) to support research and teaching activities. Qualifications

Completed PhD or anticipated award date prior to May 31, 2026 in Clinical Psychology. Lice nsure or license-eligible as a clinical psychologist; if eligible but not yet licensed, must have a clear plan for achieving licensure in New York within two years of starting. Dedication to teaching and research in addition to clinical work; strong commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarly activity. Preferred Qualifications
