Overview Sr. Principal IT Product Manager, AI Solutions G&A

AI and automation are key enablers for Palo Alto Networks to grow at the scale and speed necessary to support our cybersecurity customers. As the Sr. Principal IT Product Manager for AI Solutions G&A, you are an expert in the field—possessing a unique blend of deep and broad knowledge. You will be at the forefront of identifying significant opportunities and driving the product vision, strategies, and roadmaps for our business, supporting both code-based and low-code/no-code approaches to accelerate development and democratize access to AI solutions across the organization.

This role requires a leader who operates with a wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches on critical, leading-edge issues that impact overall functional organization success. You will work on future concepts, products, and methodologies, inventing new ways to incorporate them into organizational processes. Your strategic mindset will be crucial in developing path-breaking solutions that accelerate the journey from concept to large-scale deployment, enabling aspirational AI-centric business vision and innovative applications across the organization.

Your Impact

Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Strategic Mindset:

Define and champion a bold, AI-first product vision and strategic roadmap for the Enterprise AI Platform. Collaborate with G&A leadership to identify areas where AI can drive financial forecasting accuracy, optimize human resources operations, or streamline legal contract review processes.

Business Insight & Focuses on the Customer:

Act as a strategic partner to business leaders across G&A functions, identifying high-impact opportunities for AI and automation. Develop insight into internal customer needs through research to ensure solutions are user-driven and deliver tangible value. Examples include working with Finance on quarterly reporting or close processes, Legal on inefficiencies in intellectual property management, or Talent Acquisition on efficiencies in the hiring process.

Drives Results & Problem Solving:

Champion an outcome-driven approach by defining clear success criteria, metrics, and dashboards that measure business value, efficiency, and impact. Identify problems, review data, determine root causes, and provide practical solutions. Example metrics include a 50% reduction in quarterly close time in Finance or a 40% improvement in time-to-hire through AI-powered screening.

Adapts & Collaboration and Influence:

Thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity. Use critical thinking and problem-solving to deliver business value, address competing priorities, and motivate change through effective communication and negotiation. Collaborate with G&A to develop responsible AI policies and ensure ethical considerations in AI solutions.

Product Acumen & AI/ML Expertise:

Apply deep expertise in AI, automation, MLOps, LLMs, and Generative AI to identify platform technologies and capabilities for impactful use cases across enterprise functions. Integrate technical concepts into product requirements for data pipelines, model training infrastructure, and responsible AI tooling.

Communicates & Stakeholder Engagement:

Deliver clear technical presentations and documentation to articulate platform strategy, value proposition, and progress. Serve as a spokesperson for the organization and create networks with key decision-makers. Communicate product decisions clearly to ensure alignment across teams, including presenting AI strategy to senior leaders in Finance, People & Legal functions.

Qualifications

15+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's or Master's or a PhD degree

Minimum

10+ years of product management experience, with a significant 3-5 years of G&A domain-specific experience launching and scaling core AI/ML solutions in an enterprise environment .

A proven track record of using AI to transform G&A functions like Finance, HR, or Legal.

Experience in identifying and prioritizing AI solutions that drive financial ROI and operational efficiency in a corporate G&A environment.

Proven success in managing the entire Product lifecycle, including ideation, incorporating internal user feedback into requirements, driving prioritization, and leading pre/post-launch execution with measurable impact on business outcomes and value.

Demonstrated strategic mindset, strong business acumen and unconstrained thinking in disrupting technology.

Strong technical background in AI/ML, well-versed in LLMs, Generative AI concepts, MLOps principles, and their practical application in building scalable platform services.

Extensive experience working in a fast-paced, technical environment, leading broad, cross-functional teams to define product vision, crystallize requirements, and guide projects through key milestones.

Demonstrated ability to partner with non-technical G&A stakeholders to co-create AI solutions.

Exceptional ability to manage ambiguity and unpredictability in the AI/ML domain, with adaptability and resilience.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with experience delivering compelling technical presentations, authoring clear and concise documentation, and engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.

A proactive, team-oriented individual with a "can-do" attitude and a strong curiosity that fuels continuous learning in the rapidly evolving AI and enterprise technology landscape.

Compensation Disclosure The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected.
