Partner and consult with senior management to deliver analytical insights on Vanguard\'s strategy and client base. Ensure the team acts as consultants for business functions to deliver actionable insights and solutions. Hire, evaluate, and supervise staff. Provide guidance and training to develop team members. Set performance standards, review performance, and make compensation decisions in line with applicable HR policies. Oversee the enterprise-wide strategy and program for the adoption and implementation of analytics tools. Develop and maintain a strategic plan to ensure tools meet evolving business demands. Create an enterprise-wide view of analytics capabilities; identify gaps and propose solutions. Lead the team in consulting with business partners to establish efficient analytics and BI tools, frameworks, and capabilities. Educate business leaders about self-service tools and support teams as they stand up internal functions. Build and scale teams with expertise in advanced analytics, data engineering, analytics consulting, and business acumen. Oversee training strategy to foster analytical development across Vanguard. Stay ahead of industry, market, and company trends. Ensure analytics tools are scalable and sustainable. Lead Vanguard\'s analytics community and represent Vanguard at external events, forming relationships to bring in new ideas and talent. Participate in developing the department budget, including technology investments and budget allocation to support tools. Monitor expenses to ensure the unit operates within budgetary guidelines. What it takes
Minimum ten years of experience in data and analytics. 5 years of experience managing teams of Data Analysts and Researchers within a global matrix organization. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred. Special factors
