The ACNO will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to professional practice standards, regulatory requirements, and cultivating a culture of evidence-based practice and clinical research. In this influential position, you will be instrumental in promoting high-quality, patient-centered care. This requires a dynamic leader capable of collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement innovative clinical programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will also be engaged in financial and personnel management, bringing a wealth of experience in nursing administration, preferably within an academic medical center environment. To qualify, applicants should possess a doctoral degree in nursing, ideally a PhD, alongside a minimum of 10 years of nursing experience in oncology, including at least 5 years in a nursing administration role. A strong background in collaborative leadership is essential, along with current board certification in a clinical or executive leadership specialty. The ACNO will contribute to strategic planning and evidence-informed practice while mentoring staff in developing their executive leadership skills in patient care. A deep understanding of the institution's strategic goals and the ability to effectively represent the CNO in various forums are essential traits for success.
