About the Role

The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (DCNO) to provide direct support to the Chief Nursing Officer in the executive-level management of resources, strategic planning, and program development of Nursing and Patient Care Services. The DCNO will be responsible for driving adherence to professional practice standards, regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of evidence-based practice and clinical research. This role is pivotal in promoting high-quality, patient-centered care and requires a leader who can collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement innovative clinical programs and initiatives. The successful candidate will also be involved in financial planning and management, personnel management, and will be expected to have a strong background in nursing administration, particularly in an academic medical center setting.

Applicants for the DCNO position at the company must have a doctoral degree in nursing, with a preference for a PhD, and a minimum of 10 years of nursing experience in oncology, including at least 5 years in nursing administration. The role demands a leader with a current board certification in a clinical or executive leadership specialty and a proven track record of strong collaborative skills in interdisciplinary leadership teams. The DCNO will be involved in strategic planning, and evidence-informed practice, and will be expected to mentor staff in developing executive leadership skills in patient care.
