The Donovan’s Venom is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focused on curating universal accessibility to fine arts and music education for all. We are dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to high-quality music education, performance opportunities, and fine art. We aim to inspire, empower, and uplift communities by fostering a love for music and the arts through our commitment to education, inclusivity, diversity, and social impact. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our team as a volunteer. The COO will oversee the daily operations of the organization, including project management, strategic planning, organizational development, volunteer management, and grant operations. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for community service and a strong background in nonprofit management. What You’ll Do
Daily Operations: Oversee the organization's daily functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations; develop and implement operational policies and procedures that support the mission and objectives. Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of organizational projects; foster collaboration across teams to achieve project objectives and deadlines. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the organization’s strategic plan; monitor organizational performance and recommend improvements to enhance effectiveness. Organizational Development: Support initiatives that enhance organizational growth and sustainability; cultivate a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence. Grant Management: Manage grant applications and reporting processes; build and maintain relationships with funders to support organizational initiatives. What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in nonprofit management or a similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of project management and operational best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically while managing multiple priorities. Passion for the mission of The Donovan’s Venom and a commitment to community service. Details
