About the Role
The successful candidate for the Vice President for Economic Development and Continuing Education Programs will be a dynamic leader responsible for shaping and overseeing innovative workforce and economic development initiatives. This individual will play a key role in designing and implementing high-quality workforce training and continuing education programs that address the current and future needs of the labor market.
Responsibilities include strategic planning, budget oversight, and identifying alternative funding sources to enhance program offerings. A passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion is essential, as is a commitment to improving access and opportunities within the college and the community.
The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree and possess at least 7 years of relevant administrative or managerial experience within corporate or higher education settings. Proven expertise in engaging with strategic external partners, managing substantial grants, and leading professional staff is critical.
This role requires a high-energy individual adept at collaboration and capable of leading diverse teams while developing strong relationships with stakeholders in business, industry, and government.
Key responsibilities also include developing seamless pathways between non-credit and credit instruction to ensure an integrated approach to education that meets the evolving demands of the workforce.
A valid driver’s license is required, and a Doctorate degree is preferred.
