Responsibilities
Lead capital projects in the range of $5 million up to $30 million, in coordination with the Executive Director and facilities Management. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support the institution's mission and provide communication channels for long-range planning and problem resolution. Provide strategic leadership to align projects with institutional goals and ensure hospital spaces are ready for patient care through space readiness initiatives, activation planning, transition, move management, and medical equipment services. Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, clinical stakeholders, and construction partners to ensure timely transitions into new or renovated spaces. Oversee activation leadership, wayfinding leadership, and personnel management, including supervision, performance evaluations, and resource allocation. Job Specific Competencies
Activation Leadership:
Strategic leadership to align projects with institutional goals; oversee space readiness initiatives, activation planning, transition, move management, and medical equipment services; oversight of personnel and IDIQ program contracts. Wayfinding Leadership:
Lead wayfinding, interior/exterior and donor signage; ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Personnel Management:
Coordinate with Facilities Directors, support long-range planning, participate in institutional committees, supervise staff, conduct performance evaluations, and manage goals and resources. Administrative/Resource Management:
Establish staffing plans, workload, goals, policies, position descriptions, and hiring processes. Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in construction, design, engineering, or related field. Preferred Education: Master's Degree Preferred Certification: Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), State of Texas, or Registered Architect, State of Texas. Experience
Five years of experience in facilities project management of healthcare, academic, and/or research facilities. Five years of management experience. Preferred Experience
