Traveling Executive Chef , you will oversee kitchen operations and ensure a safe, sanitary, and high-quality culinary experience across multiple accounts. This role requires flexibility, leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional foodservice in diverse healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and develop regular and modified menus in accordance with established guidelines and client needs Prepare or direct the preparation and presentation of meals following standardized recipes and portion standards Train kitchen staff in proper food preparation techniques, equipment operation, food safety, and sanitation procedures Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas Maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies within budget guidelines to ensure product availability Monitor utilization of leftover products in compliance with company standards Comply with all federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations as evidenced by health department and third-party audits Follow facility, department, and company safety policies and procedures, including occurrence reporting Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional training as appropriate
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal training Extensive catering experience a plus High-volume and complex foodservice operations experience strongly preferred Institutional and batch cooking experience Hands-on chef experience required Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and Internet applications ServSafe certification strongly preferred Position can be based in NY, MA or CT
