ABOUT THE ROLE Join Amrize, a premier supplier of high-quality construction building materials in the United States, as we seek an enthusiastic Field Mechanic for our Asphalt division. This pivotal role involves diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment on-site, performing emergency fixes and routine maintenance to maximize uptime and uphold safety standards. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH Inspect, diagnose, and repair a variety of mobile heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, haul trucks, and service vehicles. Conduct preventative maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks to ensure peak equipment performance. Respond promptly to breakdowns in the field, traveling to job sites to perform timely repairs. Maintain accurate service records and logs of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Operate a fully equipped service truck, ensuring tools, parts, and fluids are well-stocked and organized. Adhere to all safety regulations and site protocols, employing appropriate PPE and safety procedures during all tasks. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Education:

Diesel Mechanics Required Work Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience Travel Requirements:

Daily travel required Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment. Appropriate certifications or training in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, or ASE certifications. Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery in field or shop settings. Able to work independently, often in remote locations with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills to assess and resolve equipment issues under pressure. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is preferred. Commitment to safety, including knowledge of safety protocols and proper use of PPE. Additional Requirements: Successful candidates must comply with all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to successfully pass fit tests.
