As Forney Coating Operations General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our paper coating business, ensuring safe and efficient production, adherence to quality standards and full P&L responsibility. You will be responsible for managing a team of production staff, commercial and administrative employees, implementing process improvements, and maintaining a safe working environment. Primary Duties

Operations Management : Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Operations Management : Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the plant to meet production goals and KPI's. Operations Management : Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow to optimize productivity. Quality Assurance : Implement quality control measures to maintain product quality and consistency. Quality Assurance : Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement. Quality Assurance : Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions. Team Leadership : Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production staff, including training and performance management. Team Leadership : Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability. Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements. Process Improvement : Implement new technologies or methodologies to enhance production capabilities. Process Improvement : Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on equipment upgrades and maintenance schedules. Budget and Cost Control : Manage operational expenses within budgetary constraints. Budget and Cost Control : Monitor material usage and waste to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. Reporting and Documentation : Prepare regular reports on production metrics, quality performance, and operational efficiencies. Reporting and Documentation : Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance. Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience (5 years) in a manufacturing or production management role, preferably in paper converting or similar industries. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Solid understanding of ISO quality management systems and regulatory requirements. Ability to develop capital and business strategies to grow top and bottom line. Proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP systems. Preferred Qualifications

Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies. Experience with continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S). In-depth knowledge of paper converting processes, equipment, and materials. About Smurfit Kappa
